Jim Dimmak: Welcome back folks. Our second match is coming up right now.
Amazin' Jay: That music only means one thing, fans. That's Matt Magnum in the ring.
Ring Announcer Tommy D.: The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
Introducing first, from East Rutherford, New Jersey, weighing 190 lbs...
Matt Magnum.
Jim: Matt Magnum is high calliber, skilled. for this match.
Jay: And this gentleman, no stranger to PLW.
We've seen him under a different name in the past...
going under the name of Vinny Nero.
He's going under his given name of Vinny Marseglia.
Jim: That would be Marseglia. (Pronounced correctly, an Italian name)
Jay: He's got a new look.
But something tells me he's going to be just as dominate as he was...
Ring Announcer: From Atlanta, Georgia, weighing 180 lbs... Vinny Marseglia.
Jim: This young athlete looks extremely excited to be in the ring.
Though I not quite sure if his attire is ring legal.
Jay: This is going to be one highly contested match right here.
Both these guys, big athletic backgrounds.
Everytime I see them in the ring they show major intensity.
Jim: Quick exchange between our two opponents here.
Jay: Collar and elbow tie-up.
Going to the ropes...
Shooting him off...
Magnum taking the short end of that.
Big take down. There's going to be a lot of action in this.
These guys are insanely competitive.
Jim: You can just feel the energy. Look at him work that mat.
You don't see that kind of expertise these days.
Jay: Well, we didn't see it with Mini McGraw and Alex Payne, that's for sure.
This is a completely different type of match-up right here.
Jim: Each of our opponents trying to get superiority. Trying to wear down the other one.
From one lock to the other.
Jay: Back him up, ref. He's in the ropes.
Vinny with another rolling lock right there.
He's got him lock down to the mat.
Jim: He keeps going to the head.
Jay: He's watching the shoulders on the mat.
Jim: Reverse back into the corner.
Explosive response there.
Looks like Magnum's taking a short breather outside the ring.
Now if Vinny was smart he would capitalize on that rather than...
Jay: He should be out there following him.
Maybe he doesn't want to go out there and mix it up.
Jim: Vinny working the crowd to his advantage.
Jay: Whoa! Brought him in the hard way.
Back to that headlock, side headlock.
Shoot him off the ropes.
Going for a hip toss.
Jim: What a reversal that was.
Jay: Vinny... Oh!
Hurricanrana to a hip toss right there.
And a dropkick.
Jim: Quick, brutal, efficiant. And right back to that headlock.
Jay: Wearing down the neck.
Trying to cut of his air supply.
Not to be confused with the Air Supply from the 80's.
Jim: Magnum grabbing a fist full of hair to reverse that headlock finally.
Trying to club him down for a while
Jay: Certainly is.
I think Marseglia has got more tattoos since the last time I saw him in the ring.
Jim: I'm not quite sure if he could have more tattoos at this point, Jay.
Jay: He's got some skin that hasn't been touched yet.
I see parts of his stomach that could have some tattoos on it.
But as far as his sides, his back...
The funny thing is I know that under his arm bands, he's got some tattoos...
under those as well.
Jim: It looks like Magnum is deciding to try humiliating him. Trying to keep him down.
Jay: Beautiful over the head, belly-to-belly suplex right there.
Jim: Two count only.
Jay: These guys are competitive. There's not a lot of time
that's lost in between each move each man is making.
European uppercut.
Once again, making the most of every single move.
Jim: Well executed.
Repetitively going to the weak points.
Jay: It seemed that Vinny was working on the neck. Now Matt is going for the next as well.
I think he was working the lower back, the neck.
And he is sticking with the neck right there.
Jim: These two have had to lock up before. They seem to know delibrately their points to attack each other.
Jay: I'm sure they've been studying each other. They knew this match was coming.
Jim: Vinny calling on the crowd again.
Trying to get that momentum, get that energy to break this chin lock.
[Fans clapping]
Jay: Vinny getting the crowd alive.
Let's see if he can stay alive.
Into the ropes...
Big flying clothesline.
He did a hook right there.
Jim: Rolls him up...
Jay: Leapfrog...
Oh! A German suplex with a bridge.
This could be it with the pin. Wow!
He had a two count right there.
Jim: Magnum not liking it.
Jay: He thinks he should've had it right there.
That was pretty impactful. That was effective.
But not as effective as he'd would liked it to be.
Magnum trying to figure out how to put him away.
He looked a little surprised...
that Vinny kicked out of the German suplex
Now he's just mesuring him... Taking his time
trying to figure out "what do I do next?"
"How do I put this guy away?"
Jim: It's clear that Magnum wants to slow the match down. Big, heavy impacts.
Everytime it speeds it up, Vinny takes that momentum and runs with it.
Jay: I think you're right.
This could be it. Now Magnum taking a risk of his own.
Jim: If he hits it's going to be a big payoff.
Jay: Oh! And it did not hit.
Vinny rolling out of the way.
Magnum a little bit dazed, takes some clotheslines.
Jim: Three clotheslines... He's probably seeing Vinny in triple.
Jay: VM getting shot back into the ropes once again.
Whoa! I thought we're going for another horizontal...
Jim: Whoa!
Jay: Wow! Russian leg sweep by VM.
Jim: Looks like Vinny's going to follow the path of Magnum here.
Jay: Vinny's going to the top.
Matt Magnum there to catch him though.
It seems as each time these guys go to the ropes, we know,
the other one's not going to let it happen.
Jim: We're going to see some real air here.
Jay: Well if this happens we're going to see a big superplex.
No. Vinny pushes him off.
Getting ready for...
Jay and Jim: Ohhh!
Jay: He just hit him with a swanton.
And that's a three count.
Jim: Like that, it is over.
[Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen. Your winner...
Vinny Marseglia.]
Jay: Vinny Marseglia...
Jim: It was definitely one of the more high impact matches.
Jay: That was an amazing match.
Two highly contested competitors there.
They both wanted it.
Vinny capitalizing at the end.
Jim: I was certain Vinny was out of it at that one point
but all it takes is that one reversal.
Jay: Magnum was going to go for the superplex
Vinny pushes him off.
Hits the swanton. And that's it. He gets the 1, 2, 3.
VM.
Vinny Marseglia right there.
Give yourself a hand. You won this match in great fashion.
