What should my boyfriend do for my birthday?
The smart fellow will do whatever you want for your birthday.
What I want won’t be in his budget. What can I do?
The hard part of your problem is that women think that dropping hints will cause the guy
to turn into a bloodhound or Sherlock Holmes, pick them up and figure out the solution.
In reality, you have to tell him what you want for him to do it.
That explains why hinting about an evening out resulted in him going out with the guys,
saying that’s what I said I wanted him to do.
You could make your birthday a really nice date night. The special occasion increases
the budget for the evening.
Then we end up at Chili’s instead of cheap Tex-Mex.
Make sure you tell him what you want and the price range. If you comment that you don’t
really need anything, he might just do what you say.
I saw an advice column on a woman getting mad that her boyfriend didn’t get her anything,
despite him being unemployed.
He could have had a romantic picnic with her using food around the house, fixed a few things
she needed repaired or cleaned the house. There are whole books of women’s *** full
of guys cleaning and cooking.
She was mad that he didn’t do anything to celebrate.
That might be neglect, if he doesn’t even bother to sing “Happy Birthday” to her.
Or he might be embarrassed that he can’t do what she wants, so he does nothing at all.
What should my boyfriend do?
He should do something that makes you happy. It is your responsibility to make sure he
knows what that is.
Do I need to make him a wish list of desires or write out a to do list with detailed instructions?
It’s your choice, but it sets the tone of the rest of your life.
As long as it isn’t high pitched screaming, I think he’ll be fine with it.
