It's a make-it-or-break-it year for Grey's Anatomy - did the season premiere hold its
own, or is it doomed to celebrate its own Goodbye Block Party like Desperate Housewives?
I'm Alex and I've got the scoop in today's ABC Drama Watch edition of Reel TV News.
Grey's Anatomy season 8 premiered immediately following new series Charlie's Angels with
a whopping 2-hour episode. Turns out our favorite doctors raked in 10.3 million viewers total,
tying for third place with The X Factor in the Thursday night ratings. No word on whether
that's enough to keep the show going for more seasons to come, but earning the spot of Thursday
night's #1 drama in the ratings certainly helps.
The 8th and final season of Desperate Housewives premieres this Sunday and to celebrate the
show's last hurrah, ABC threw a block party on the Wisteria Lane set with all the cast,
crew, and creatives. Four of the five leads were in attendance, minus Teri Hatcher who
had a previous engagement. Don't forget to tune into the beginning of the end this Sunday
the 25th on ABC, and check back with us next time for more updates on your favorite dramas.
