Ok, so a two car marked convoy blues and twos exercise. I am car two.
You have to look beyond the lead vehicle.
We're going off at the next junction.
Turning off the noise momentarily, happy with my gap, continue into the slip lane.
Mirrors - trying to offset here, nearside mirror in position.
Letting the vehicles see that there are two vehicles - we have option three.
Offside mirror in position now - out towards offside lane.
Gently through, checking right, left, looking for any fast solos.
No movement there, mirrors picking up, off side mirror position, brake lights off the curved path.
Mirrors, concious now that we could get a turn off situation.
Mirrors, so listening for the lead car thinking he may turn his noise off.
We're going through the bus lane, our mirror position, concious that we have not got the exemptions in certain bus lanes.
So as we come through, turning the noise off now as the lead car has turned his noise off.
There's nowhere for these vehicles to go.
Again notice from his positioning that he's way off from the back of the taxi.
Bearing in mind that as we move forward I don't want to get a sudden reaction from these members of public.
It's actually easier if they clear through nice and slowly for me.
He's back on his noise I wanna go back on my turn.
Offside mirror position out gently towards lane two.
Good reaction from the taxi and the BMW moving into central London.
Thinking of those tourists, offside mirror position, who might not be used to dealing with emergency vehicles.
And that walking Ipod.
Postion away from the side - braking in lane two.
Mirrors looking to go offside, off side mirror position.
Mirrors to centralise now, down the centre, watching for the taxi.
Quite fast moving traffic here - think about my speed of approach.
So mirrors, as we come down, we need to slowly arrive - not suddenly appear.
Not wanting to evoke a response and concious of the pedestrains crossing.
Checking out towards the right hand-side, happy to go here.
The mirrors will not work with this guy held in the middle of the roundabout.
So we will just let him clear, no problems there.
Wait for the pedestrians to clear, they could be tourists and we are not far from Parliament Square.
