As a hairstylist, not only for myself but also for my clients, I always want to use
a ceramic flat iron. I'm Laura Gibson and I'm here to tell you a little bit about ceramic
flat irons. I prefer to use it always because it will actually protect your hair. You have
two metal plates right here, don't stick your finger in, don't do it, you're going to burn
it, it's going to hurt, it's not good. What it does is it actually seals your cuticle
which would be the outer layer of each individual strand, well layman's term, it makes your
hair silky. So whether you just want to tame down your frizz or if you want to actually
smooth out your curls or if you want to do both like me, its always good to do both.
So you just simply use it like any other flat iron, smooth down, but it gives it that extra
shine and its actually protecting your hair. A lot of them, it won't pull as much. Some
other flat irons, a basic flat iron with just metal plates, it can actually get stuck in
the flat iron and then you're ripping out hair and its not good. So once again, I always
use ceramic flat irons and usually I will take a section and just smooth that baby on
down. So I'm Laura Gibson, hair expert and that's all folks.
