I use watercolor paint that comes in a tube. They do have watercolor paint that comes in
cakes and I just have never tried it, never used it, I would sure give it a shot if you
are interested and again it is one of those experimental things that try things until
you find things that work for you. But it comes in different sizes again and there is
different costs involved, the more expensive paints tend to have a little more pigment
since some of the colors will stick around a little longer but it is totally up to you.
Again try what you like and what you'll do is you will take the paint out of the tube
obviously the lid comes off and you squirt it on to a palette and then you'll paint,
you'll dip your brush into the paint and then the water and you'll take it from there so
just a gazillion colors to choose from. My palette is pretty limited because of what
I paint, I don't use a lot of different colors. So it is pretty easy for me to be consistent
on the kinds of paints that I use but again go to the store, look at what they have to
offer, buy some different brands, I have three different brands right here, I mix and match
and I just do what works for me so go to the art store and just experiment.
