Hello, this is Brian on behalf of expertvillage.com. Now we are going to move on to something a
little bit more fun. We are going to actually roast a marshmallow on the fire. Now the first
thing you need to do is to select a stick. The length of the stick is going to be based
on the how large your fire pit is. This is about 3 feet. It’s sufficient because we
have only got about a 3 foot fire. You want it to be straight so that you can rotate your
marshmallow on the end of it, to make sure that it is evenly cooked on every side. You
also want to make it slender, obviously, so that you can place your marshmallow on the
stick. Now what you want to do is whittle one end of it to a nice sharp point. You can
see we have already begun here. You always want to cut with the knife out away from your
body, to ensure that if the knife slips it does not cut you. Okay, get a nice sharp point
there.
You see we have got a nice sharp point on there, relatively straight sticks so we can
rotate the marshmallow in the fire to keep it evenly cooked. Let us move on to roasting
a marshmallow.
