Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to be learning
how to play a few basic flam rudiments. A left handed flam is exactly the opposite.
Your right hand now has the grace note and your left hand is the accent. Okay!
Not to wide it is not da da. You should not technically be able to sing a flam it should
be impossible. So right, left, right, left, right, left. Slow it down a little bit and
I will say this since primarily we play right handed meaning we start every exercise with
our right hand it is more difficult to play a left handed flam. It my case and I know
other drummers who are right handed as well it is a little more difficult to play left
handed flams so just slow it down. Just remember to let that grace note drop. So you may have
to work on your left handed flams more then your right handed flams but I think you get
the idea make sure you keep practicing. But in the mean time let's go ahead and take a
look at our next step.
