Matteo Lando: Venetia Studium was built in 1984 by
my father, who started re- editioning the lamps made by Mariano Fortuny.
He used to play when he was a kid going to this museum. And he always will
loving recreated this lighting.
New collection that we brought here in, Euroluce. It's a re-edition
again of what Mariano Fortuny did in 1907. So, it's a lamp, which is a new
lamp, but is more than a hundred years old. We have the two sizes
available. We showed the silver leaf and the gold leaf as well. It's the
main attraction of this lamp, it's all made of steel and the top is made of
aluminum. Still keeping the shape as if it was made of fabric. So, it looks
like fabric, but actually is aluminum.
This is the ceiling version of the triple [sounds like 00:00:50]
floor lamps that we saw before. Done with the same concept, also, available
in the two sizes. We started to reproduce this, this is the very beginning
in 1984. It's hand painted silk with steel metal disk. And we also
introduced the new collection in glass. Same concept and same design, but
in glass.
