I actually came
to Grand Valley my freshman year
for a campus visit and I just fell in love
with the campus.
It was so beautiful.
I just felt really at home there.
I feel that Grand Valley taught me how
to be a critical thinker
and a lifelong learner, which is a skill
that I use every day.
I feel that once you graduate college
you've kind of learned everything
that you can learn from a text book,
but then you come out here
in the real world and you have
to learn differently
because everything isn't going
to be written for you or your not going
to have clear directions,
you're really doing a lot
of problem solving.
And Grand Valley has really prepared me
for real-world experience.
I think one of the nice thing
about having a liberal arts education is
that you're able to kind of dip
into these different areas and you kind
of start to realize your passions.
And when you're passionate
about something,
that's when you're really,
really successful.
Grand Valley has helped me realize
my potential.
They really helped me
to just be a big dreamer.
