Keep your device secure by utilizing screen lock features.
Watch this video to learn how to customize your lock screen settings and more
on your Samsung Galaxy Note II.
To begin, from any home screen
pull down the notification bar and touch the Settings icon.
Next scroll down and touch Lock screen.
Then touch Screen lock.
As you can see, your Galaxy Note II has a variety of screen lock options
including the new face unlock feature.
Touch Face unlock to begin the setup process.
Read the driving notification, and touch Next to continue.
Read the prompt and touch "Set it up" to accept.
For best results, find an indoor spot and hold the phone at eye level.
Press Continue to proceed.
Next align your face inside the dotted circle.
Hold your camera still while the camera captures your image.
When complete you will be taken to the "Face captured" screen.
Touch Continue.
Next choose a backup lock for when the face unlock function cannot see you.
Choose pattern, then read the instructions
and watch the short animation on how to set up your pattern unlock
and then touch Next.
Draw an unlock pattern by sliding your S Pen or finger to connect at least four dots.
Next touch Continue.
Then draw your pattern again and touch Confirm to complete the setup process.
When complete, press OK.
To use face unlock, touch the power button on the side of your device.
Then touch the power button again to activate your screen.
Hold the device in front of you so that your face appears on screen.
If your device can see you, your phone will unlock.
