Hi. I'm Debra Rubin-Roberts, Founder of Mommy Makeup, and I want to take a
moment to talk about your mascara. Caring for your mascara and your lashes
is extremely important and the reason why it's recommended for you to
change your mascara about every three months is because your eyelashes are
there to prevent bacteria from the air from getting in your eye.
So, what happens is you take your mascara comb and you put it on your
lashes, and the bacteria can build up on the comb. Then you're taking the
comb and putting it back in an air-tight tube, and after three months the
bacteria can build up enough where you can run the risk of an eye
infection. So that's why it's really important for about every three months
to change your mascara.
