First, my initiative is a change in my professional life.
I was an agronomist engineer in Toulouse (France) for six years
and little by little it did'nt make sense to me anymore,
there was too much administration.
I wasn't motivated to wake up and go to work anymore.
One day, with my friends, we ask each other
what was our best dream.
I said that mine was to leave everything
to live the adventure with only one backpack as luggage .
Three days later I decided to do it.
Finally, I realized it served as a skills assessment.
As soon as I came back to France,
I worked in the same job I did in Argentina
at the end of my trip.
I chose to work in pastry
and at the same time I started to write up
their autobiographies for elderly people.
It's like writing a portrait for people
who want to tell their life story
and offer it to their relatives.
I would never have thought about it if I had stayed in France
in the same cultural and social environment I lived in.
I just needed to leave far away for a long time
to find what I really want to do in life.
A bit like snakes, we shed our old skins
and therefore everything gets clearer.
As a matter of fact, I changed glasses during the trip
and today I strangely don't wear glasses anymore.
It was for distance vision.
I recovered better vision I had probably lost
by working on a computer all day long.
Talking about vision means that I see more things than before,
I'm more aware of things than before
either in my relationship with others or about my own wishes.
I know what I want and what I don't want more than before.
Finally, it's great because it allows me to make decisions
more easily in any area of my life.
I say to myself: I can go in that direction
because I have taken it before.
