If you're struggling with spending too much time in the kitchen this video will show you
how to get out of the kitchen FAST while still fixing great meals for your family
First, train yourself to plan ahead. Look into the coming week and see what every member
of your family has going on. This includes any practices, Church service, and even working
late. Once you know what's going on you can plan
the week's meals. Some evenings you may need to plan something quick and easy others you
may have more time. Second, get into the habit of cooking ahead.
This is one of the easiest things you can do to save yourself some time during the week.
Food cooked on the weekend can be spread out during the week.
One of our favorites was to make a big pot of spaghetti over the weekend and eat it through
the week. It could also be repurposed into something like lasagna or stuffed peppers.
Third, freezing food ahead of time is a fabulous time-saving habit to put into place. It can
simplify meals months in the future… including giving yourself nights off from cooking. Talk
about getting out of the kitchen FAST. This is so simple to do. Whenever you're making
something like meatloaf or spaghetti sauce simply make extra. You can make double or
even quadruple and put the rest in the freezer for later use.
Fourth, develop a mindset around using leftovers. This is a tip that can right away cut your
time in the kitchen as early as tomorrow night. Leftovers are a wonderful way of conserving
not only time but money also. Save time tomorrow night by making the pork chops tonight and
repurpose the leftovers into stir fry tomorrow night.
Putting these tips into practice is guaranteed to free up time which you can then spend doing
things that you really want to do. So… let’s recap:
1.) Think ahead 2.) Cook ahead
3.) Freeze food ahead of time 4.) Use leftovers
