Hello everyone! Some time ago Sprout has accepted to send me a pair of samples of its pencils to make a review
But this is just one pencil, you'd think
Its twin, before the review, has told me a story
This a story that starts where the other ones usually finish
It starts with the End of a pencil.
When it was just a little piece of pencil, that has been planted under 2 cm of ground, instead of been thrown in the garbage.
And it stayed there for long time, under the rain, the wind and the sun
And there it started growing, and growing, and growing till it became a beautiful tree..
This beautiful plant bloomed in leaves and flowers, and red Max decided to climb it, to see how was the world see from the top of a pencil..
It was night. The stars and the moon appeared in the sky..
And the were-pencil tree looked them with the cat.
It told the cat how much it wrote when it was a pencil..
But its real dream was Drawing, even if it wasn't able.
Then Max said that he has a dream too..
..he really wanted to become a dad, but it couldn't because it was a domestic cat..
And you know how works for domestic cats..!
So they stayed there. And when they saw a falling star they closed the eyes
even if I'm not sure pencils have eyes,
and they wished a wish.
It has last a lot of time.. And now if you stay in a precise place, in the precise point the wind blows..
you'll notice that clouds have different shapes.
They look like an elephant, or maybe its a cow..
And there? Those clouds really look like 3 little kittens
Max knows where they come from..
It knows that somewhere there, were there was a pencil there's a tree that draw in the clouds.
Maybe they're not the best drawings of the world, maybe they don't look like what they're supposed to be..
But it's happy. And well, they're all happy..
What I think of Sprout.
I've been attracted by these pencil surely because of the very original idea..
the idea of recovering, giving them a 2nd life after using them.
You just need to plant a pencil, and water melts the capsule (even if you chew the pencil it melts!)
And Pac! the seeds grow up and you've a lil plant.
So the idea is really beautiful. So beautiful that I've asked a sample to the Danish company that produce them.
They're hand-made, non toxic, so.. they're ok in all their elements
And, over the nice idea, my question was: do they even work well?
Because I suspected they could write like Ikea's little pencils..
They didn't indicated the graduation of the pencil..
..but trying it I can say it's probably a 2B
that's basically the graduation I'm used to use.
And I've had a good impression, it writes well..
Slightly better on smooth paper rather than rough,
anyway you can draw easily e comfortably.
By the way, I don't think it's the goal this pencil has been created for.
In my opinion Drawers weren't the real target of this item.
A drawer will prefer surely cheaper pencils with better performances
Each pencil costs around 3,35€, if I'm not wrong
So, considering they're handmade, that they've this peculiarity,
that they've a good variety of 20 kind of plants, such as coriander, mint, tomatoes and so on
considering even that they've a great finish, are pleasant to touch,
they write well, so they make a good job..
they're surely a very fitting gift.
It something very original, it gives the feeling you're doing something positive for the ambient.
And it's a good alternative instead of giving the usual flowers.
The concept is almost the same, but transformed in a completely different and new, never seen before, form.
I'm satisfied, they're really neat. I wouldn't buy them for me to draw,
but if I've to make a present, for a drawer or not, it could be a remarkable gift.
Indeed my mom has immediatly stole one of them when they arrived at home.
So I can say they've a good appeal.
My vote is generally positive.
A defeact, maybe not, is the extreme desire you've to finish the pencil
in order to plant it.
On a side it could be negative, becuase you could sharp it more than necessary
to finish it in less time.
On the other side a drawer that doesn't really feel like drawing
could be incentivized to draw, because of the desire to use more the pencil to plant it.
I donno, it could be a double-edged weapon.
Btw, it's a very well-finished product.
This is what I think.
If you've ever seen it, or you know nothing of this item
or if you're thinking to purchase it,
tell me if you found useful my review.
Because it's the 1st time I review something that's not awful, and related with drawing,
so, tell me if it worth, if you'd give it, anything!
Even your suggestions about the review itself, and the way i made it.
Because it was.. a bit odd.
Thank you for watching the video, and see you next time!
Bye!
