Hi, welcome back. And guess what?
I've raised the hackles of some of my Twitter followers.
If you follow me on Twitter, you'll notice that periodically, throughout the day
I will occasionally put out my "Please don't buy my book" tweets.
Some people say "it's a very bad marketing ploy"...
other people have said "they don't like being told
what to do" and others have said
"It's a reverse psychology ploy that I'm trying to use on people".
This isn't the case at all. Consider this a
Public Service Announcement to potential book buyers.
Just because Imago is being made into a major motion picture,
it doesn't mean it's going to appeal to everyone,
especially if you're an avid, diehard... epic fantasy fan.
It was pitched to the film industry as
"Lord of the Rings" and...
"300" meets "The Last Samurai".
So right there it should tell you it's not going to appeal to everyone.
For me, I'd like my readers to be happy with their purchases,
and the best way of doing that is taking advantage of the free sample chapters.
I mean, we try on shoes before we buy them, to make sure they're a good fit,
so why not with books too?
If you'd like free sample chapters, you can get them on Amazon, Smashwords,
or even on my website.
See you next week!
