Hey guys I wanted to share some with you today.
Sometimes when I've been riding around I might have to transport something small like a little electron device.
You know something you wanna keep dry, and this is obviously to big to fit in my pocket so then I gotta put it in the backpack.
Luckily they sell these nice rain covers that you can put over your backpack.
And it's got the elastic on the back so you can cinch it up how you need it to be, but here's the problem that I ran into with that.
If you have something small and you put the sack over it, and tighten it up nice.
Well with just a little bit of friction and a little bit of wind, you'll notice that the pack starts to come of the back and basically slip right off there.
Because these really only work good when you have a full back pack full of stuff.
So it's a little frustrating because you can't use t to keep your smaller items dry.
So I came up with a really simple way to circumvent this.
This is with this.
This is just simple PVC piping you can get at your hardware store.
It's got these little elbow pieces that just attach on the four ends, and since it's in a nice square you don't even have to glue them down, they just stay in there nice and good.
And then what you can do wit this, is just put this right in your backpack.
I measured it exactly to the dimensions of the smallest bag that I use, so it works nice and good.
Now I can zip this up and the nice thing is that now, when I put the cover on there and cinch it up.
Get all the wind and all the friction in the world and this rain sack is not coming off, it's staying on there because it actually has something to hold onto.
So it's a nice real cheap way that you can get this done, and it help keep your things protected, and these rain sacks can actually work when you don't have a full backpack full of stuff.
I just wanted to share this cool little idea with you.
I hope it helps you out as it has helped me out.
