We think you're going to have a lot of fun with HP TouchSmart Photo.
Let's get started.
From the HP TouchSmart home page, touch Photo to view your photo library.
You can view your photos by dates, by folders, or you can view them all at once.
Let's look at how Dates works.
Your photos are automatically organized by days, months, and years.
Tap a tile to all the photos from that date.
Notice you can also use the list of dates at the top to find another date.
Scroll to find the photo you want to see, then tap to open it.
Now, let's look at how Folders works.
Tap the up arrow in the upper left until you get back to the top level,
then tap Folders.
Tap the folder you want to browse to open it.
Tap the photo you want to look at it.
Again, all the folders are listed at the top and you can tap anytime to open them.
Let's look at how you can also see all your photos at once.
Tap the up arrow,
then tap All Photos.
Ta-da! These are all the photos in your photo library.
What if you still have photos on your camera?
Viewing them is easy with HP TouchSmart.
Start by removing the memory card from the camera.
There's a memory card reader located on the right side of your HP TouchSmart.
Just insert your camera's memory card into the slot.
On the screen, the HP TouchSmart software will automatically minimize and a Microsoft
Windows dialog box will appear.
Tap open folder to view files.
Here are the photos on your memory card.
Let's copy them to your TouchSmart PC.
Tap the Windows Start button,
then tap Pictures.
We've created a folder here already to help keep our photos organized.
Just drag and drop the files from your memory card into your folder.
It's that easy.
Now, let's go back to TouchSmart by tapping the house icon in the taskbar.
Tap Folders
and select the folder you just dragged your photos into
and there they are.
If you prefer to access the photos directly,
HP TouchSmart can recognize your camera's memory card as a removable disk.
Tap the up arrow, then tap Removeable Disk.
You are now browsing your memory card directly.
This is a useful option if you'd like to preview your photos before copying them to your PC.
Let's go back to All Photos.
If you have a printer connected to your HP TouchSmart PC,
printing your photos is quick and easy.
Tap the photo you'd like to print,
then tap the print photos button.
A box will open in the upper left that displays printing status.
In some regions you can also upload your photos to Snapfish.
All you need is an internet connection and a Snapfish account.
To get started, tap Upload Photos
and follow the onscreen instructions.
Using Fan View is a great way to browse through your memories.
Just tap the Fan icon in the lower right of the screen.
Scroll the fan to look for photos and folders.
Each tile has a small icon in the center indicating its organization.
Dates, Folders, and you can also access a removable disk.
Additional information is also shown beneath the tiles in the center of the screen.
Tap any tile and it will move to the center.
Tap it again to open it.
With HP TouchSmart it's easy to play a slideshow of photos in your library.
A good place to start is in All Photos.
Just tap the play slideshow button at the bottom of the screen.
Notice that the onscreen controls disappear after a few seconds so that you can enjoy
the slideshow.
To make the controls reappear, simply tap the screen.
You can pause, go forward or back, one by one.
And just tap the Play arrow to continue playing.
To exit the slideshow, tap the X in the upper right.
You can edit the slideshow transitions and timing by tapping the Settings button in the
upper right and adjusting the settings in the dialog box.
