Brita OB43 Vintage Filter Pitcher Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here.
Today we’re looking at the Brita OB43 Vintage Filter Pitcher.
This unit has a large ten cup capacity in sort of a retro traditional pitcher appearance.
It features an easy-fill lid, which really does make a difference when refilling the
reservoir, because you don’t have to remove this entire lid every time you do it.
It also has an integrated electronic filter change indicator light. There’s no need
to keep track of your filter on your smart phone or with a sticker on the refrigerator.
Simply start the button when you put a new filter cartridge in and it will alert you
when it’s time to change your cartridge. Now, this pitcher also has a really nice rubberized
comfort grip handle. And I have to be honest with you, when I first read about it on the
box I thought this might be kind of gimmicky, but it really feels nice, it’s grippy, it’s
not going to slip out of my hand and it’s quite comfortable. I really like it.
Now, like all Brita filter pitchers, it uses the OB01 filter, which is also known as the
OB03 when purchased in a three pack. This filter is NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified
to reduce lead, mercury, cadmium, zinc, sediment, and of course, chlorine taste and odor.
Now, this unit is just slightly larger than a gallon of milk and it’s perfect for those
of you looking for a large capacity filter, and also for those of you who want a classic
pitcher appearance. When I look at the shape and style of this
pitcher, I think a picture of this belongs next to the work ‘pitcher’ in the dictionary.
Again, it is the Brita OB43 Vintage Filter Pitcher, and I’m your host Tony the Filter
Doctor. Thanks for watching.
