show up in Eureka California listener KGO it says you haven't made up your
mind about the Keystone pipeline
really well my inclination is to be against it
I mean you're really as tell me one reason anyone would be for it
this why can't think of one number
the only the only reason I can think of is I own stock in Koch Industries
and I want to make a lot of money on on the stock dividends
that's the one social security so I don't have stalking coke writers Chris
Wright and neither do I and so
you know odds are that neither one of us are gonna make any money off it so
why why I can't think of any other reason than anybody would support this
thing I A i other than I and i saw this last are
I get it that there is there is one maybe two unions that are supportive of
this because
you know it's you're you're looking at 23 years where the construction jobs
and use a you know I understand people are desperate for jobs
but I think that that's a strong argument for doing things that put
people back to work like building our infrastructure not building a pipeline
across America for foreign company
absolutely my question is and this comes down
I guess ordered to the inevitability that you were talking about just
first few seconds ago um that stuff is going that route they've known that
stuff was in the ground for sixty years
it's not inevitable that I get out it's only gonna get outta thing figure out a
way to get it on to their
okay the question I have peers
I now this comes from people that support the pipeline I would
say that but they they're pushing this idea that
the States just have to approve the pipeline
the only thing the federal government is approving is this one my all
between the US and Canada
if they don't approve that they're just gonna build a facility on this side of
the border and
pipeline it down to the gulf anyway
it's possible I don't know
II that if if the argument has come down to that
then were pretty damn said shape I have not heard them
that argument dollop but you know it the Koch brothers
are fixin to make a hundred and billion dollars of this thing according to
published reports i've seen
I which seems like a lot to me this is the Thom Hartmann program
bottom line is somebody's gonna make a hundred billion dollars if you make a
hundred billion dollars you can certainly spend a few million to buy
public opinion
bats not agree
