On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Paul Anderson of ABC Circus in Hollywood, Florida, and this
is beginning acrobatics. In acrobatics, they frequently talk about figures. Here's a simple
figure. Like a mountaintop. We take the mountain top and turn it into a bicycle. Now when you
add 2 have 2 people riding a bike, the figure changes and it looks significantly different
than it does with one person. Let's go back to the mountain top. Good. Now, we take the
same idea of interlocking feet and we put a handstand to that. Our 2 artist here, Albert
and Astrid, are going to put their hands on the ground, connect one foot nice and squarely,
and push against each other to lift up. Then they can do splits, they can bend their knees
together, they can tuck down. They made this trick look quite easy, but this trick takes
quite a bit of shoulder strength because you're holding yourself in a handstand. You can do
the very same trick in a headstand if your handstand isn't so good.
