Now this one’s an adaptation of the 2012 super-hit Bengali film ‘Bhooter Bhabishyat’.
Basically it’s a story about ‘ghosts’ living in a haunted house, but in actuality
it’s not a horror film; but a paranormal comedy.
Although the promos have already done the ‘trick’,
the big question is – whether the film in totality be able to evoke enough laughter
throughout or scare the audiences away from the auditorium ?.
Our in-house expert and ace astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts the fate of this
Venus Records & Tapes and The Satish Kaushik Entertainment
joint venture: “The title ‘GANG OF GHOSTS’ adds up
to Number 52 – this octave of Number 7 is symbolized by the signs of revolution, upheaval,
strife, failure and prevention if it comes out in calculations relating to future events
and that’s quite a paradox going by the plot and the
genre of the film” explains Bhavikk.
“As per the numerological meaning derived, it seems the film might fail to live up to
the people’s expectations and befit the original version” predicts Bhavikk.
“But, fortunately or so, the year 2014 which adds up to Number 7 (Ketu) is likely to prove
lucky for most Number 1, 2, 4 and 7 people, places, dates, names etc. and the film’s
title vibration (52) would do some damage control” he adds.
“Also most actors from its ensemble cast namely Sharman Joshi (28th April 1979), Mahie
Gill (19th December 1975), Jackie Shroff (1st February 1957), Anupam
Kher (7th March 1955), Rajpal Yadav (16th March 1971) including
director Satish Kaushik (13th April 1956) fall in to this bracket directly and so their
work will be appreciated; no matter the film’s overall fate at the box office”.
“For Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee (27th June 1981) and Meera Chopra (8th July
1983) whose making her debut in Hindi films, they too will be doing an earnest job; but
this film may not help them escalate their individual careers in Bollywood in any way”
he adds further. “In short, this ‘gang’ may not make
the audiences feel too ‘gung-ho’ about watching this film at a theatre near you”
signs off Bhavikk on a clear note.
