I'm Jennifer Fivelsdal of JFIVE Homes Realty and I want to welcome you to the Village of Red Hook, New York which is located in northern Dutchess
and has a population of a thousand, almost two thousand. Right now we are going down Route 9, or, as it's known around Red Hook as Broadway.
We're looking at some of the shops along the way, here's the famous historic Diner, popular with everyone, from Bard students to weekenders. Always packed.
This is the Elmendorph, beautiful colonial building. It is presently home to the historical society.
Down the road is Stewart's where you can get your gas and great ice cream.
There's a couple Victorians we just went by. One is the Grand Dutchess, a B&B that's very popular.
We're looking at Memorial Park in the center between both roads. That's Memorial Park.
This is another small park. The Richard Abraham's Park. As you can see there are benches where you can sit or you can take a short walk.
Perfect place for a picnic, especially at lunch time. We are now heading back into the Village.
Back into the center of the Village. This is the Four Corners on the right. That building housed the drug store.
On the other side there's a deli. And this brick building here is a professional building.
This is the Village Hall. And over here is our Chinese restaurant.
By the Village Hall there is also the Red Hook Chamber Booth where you can find all sorts of information.
It's also a spot where the Bard students usually wait for their shuttle when they're in town.
There's a small shopping plaza across from the Village Hall. And just down a little from there, you will also come across the Red Hook Inn.
That too is very popular with people visiting Bard or going to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.
We are now on what's called Market Street on 199. And that's where you will find our favorite chocolate place and coffee shop called "Tastebuds".
I hope you enjoyed this short tour of the Village of Red Hook and we hope to see you soon.
