We celebrate Krishna's birthday every year.
In India, it's the time that temples here celebrate Krishna's arrival into this earth
plane.
To give you an understanding of what Krishna represents.
He is living as a great paradigm with the sole purpose to help us.
He represents three ideals of life. One is absolute beauty, luxury and happiness.
Krishna is the supreme teacher.
He says that "how you live in this world is staying in yoga".
Yoga means union with God and not physical exercise.
And then "do dharma, your assigned duty, whatever you have to
and you just cannot sit simply and meditate, that's not Krishna's model.
Krishna's model is "you have to work very hard.
But don't get attached to the results.
Just give the results to me because the results are not in your domain.
Your domain is only to just work hard and as a glory to god.
If you are not doing it for your sake, you are doing it for the glory of god".
So, this is the greatest teaching.
This will take the ego out of the picture.
Now, we have put so much ego and pride into our actions.
You have only the right to act; even the breathing is possible because of god who enables you
to do.
So, that way you can get beyond your mind, your ego and then connect with God and then
live bliss 'Anandha'.
Anandha means an unending bliss.
It's our nature, we don't live that nature,
and we just are carried away by our mundane activities and mundane life on this earth
plane.
Krishna's Birthday is a very important day that we can all connect with him.
So, astrology is very important for understanding our own destiny.
All the descent of high energy is taking place only in relation to certain astrological times.
That is why, AstroVed cannot be separated from spirituality at all.
So, use the AstroVed calendar and look at the sacred times and use it.
and 'Janmashtami' is one such very important timing.
There will be also Ganesha's birthday which is also an astrological phenomenon
which is the fourth moon where Ganesha's energy descends into the earth plane.
The most appropriate chant for Krishna's birthday is to chant a hymn or chant
that he himself revealed to the divine saint called 'Narada'.
'Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare'!
'Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare'!
