Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm going to be showing you how to make
a little photo frame ornament. It's very cute. It's made out of felt and they're very easy
to put together. They're fun to make one for everybody in the family and actually to make
it a tradition. Start a tradition of giving one every year. That way you can collect them
throughout the years hanging in your trees, and they're fun to look back at later on.
For this, supplies are very simple and very minimal. You need some felt. You can either
buy that by the sheet or by the yard, depending on how much many ornaments you're going to
want to make. Then you're going to need some fusible webbing. This is kind of stiff. You're
going to want a pretty good thickness for that. We want the back of the photo frame
to be pretty stiff. Then just a press cloth, dry, so that we can fuse it. An iron, some
scissors. You're going to want both some scissors that are good for paper as well as your sheers
for your fabric. Don't ever cut paper with your fabric scissors because it's going to
ruin the sharpness. It's going to ruin the blades. Always make sure that you have 2 separate
pairs of scissors for paper and fabric. Also, you're going to need a photo that is best
printed out, I think on a piece of paper, because we're going to sew through it. If
you want to print it out on photo paper, that's fine as well. I think that the best thickness
for something like this is actually a piece of paper. You're going to need a tape measure
and sewing machine with whatever color thread you're going to want to use. If you want to
match, you want to have some matching thread. If you want to contrast, go ahead and get
your machine ready to contrast. Those are the supplies you need. Stick around and I'll
show you how to make it.
