The Lannisters fight each other and there truly is a King in every corner, or rather,
more kings than corners at the moment. Like winter, war is coming. Hello my fellow Game
of Thrones Fans, Heather here, to give you my take on last nights episode. So, if you
haven't seen "The Night Lands" yet this is your official spoiler alert.
Theon returns to the Iron Islands and Pyke after 9 years with the Starks in Winterfell
to request his father fight with the Starks but their is still bad blood between the Starks
and the Greyjoys and so Theon's father, Lord Balon ignores Robs terms and plans to take
his crown and be King of the Iron Islands as well Winterfell. But he doesn't want his
only son leading the battle, he trusts his daughter Yara more. I'm sure that's going
to complicate things for Theon.
While Lord Balon or should I say King Balon plans his attack on Winterfell. Stannis sets
his sights on Renly's army. His new partner in crime, Melisandre, I'll call her the red
lady, basically promises him the win if he gives himself wholly to the lord of light,
if you know what I mean. Which, of course he does willingly. She is going to be trouble!
Speaking of Renly. Haven't seen him yet, but it appears he will make his first appearance
next episode along with a few new characters. I'm looking forward to it!
Meanwhile, we learn the battle North of the wall is heating up. The Wildings are building
an army behind their own king. And the number of White Walkers is growing as well. The caravan
of Night's Watchmen is still at Crasters, you know, the guys who takes his daughters
as wives. But what happens to his sons? Well, after last night we know that he sacrifices
them to the White Walkers because Jon follows him. Unfortunately, for Jon, Craster catches
him and knocks him out. I don't remember that from the books. I wonder what's going to happen
to him.
Another thing that I wasn't expecting was how quickly Gendry called out Arya for pretending
to be a boy. But I guess they have to move things along with only 11 episodes to go this
season. I'm looking forward to seeing that storyline play out.
Back in Kings landing. Tyrion is trying to keep the peace while Cersei and her son wreak
havoc. Cersei has no control over Joffery and is loosing her power over her people.
Rebellion is coming.
Across the pond, Daenerys isn't making much headway, as one of her blood riders is returned
to her in a saddle bag, but I'm still rooting for her. She really is a good queen. Always
putting her peoples' needs before her own.
So far, I'm very pleased with the way this season is progressing. Let me know what you
think of this season so far. What are you looking forward to? Sound off in the comments
and I'll see you next week.
