So now I've mixed in several colors; I have some orange and some yellow, and I've mixed
in a bit of blue and I've come up with this taupe color. And I'm going to start here for
making my print. Mixing inks is something that takes the time and energy to learn about
the different inks and mixing it; it's very similar to other processes of mixing paints,
water color paints. Each set of like oil paints will be slightly different in the way that
they respond to mixing than print making inks but having some knowledge of mixing paints
at all and certain knowledge about how colors work together will help you when you're mixing
your inks for, for really print making. Now these are actually inks so there very thick;
if I want to change the viscosity of my ink to make it less thick for my block I'm going
to add this compound which is an easy wipe compound and all it's going to do when I mix
this in is just to make the ink easier for me to roll out onto a brayer, it's also going
to make the ink a little less thick; a little thinner and easier to hold onto the surface
of my wood. It's going to give it a little bit easier for me to work with.
