I am the slurred words and vague ideas that slip to the back of your mind.
The brilliant things that disappear with time; blasts of beautiful thoughts and moments.
Bursts of happiness that you know will end,
but you also know will come again.
Molly is Irish; an accent unfortunately nonexistent.
Molly is a part of me, and everyone knows it.
Established nicknames, or ‘hey you’ just never do it. A soft name with no sharp consonants –
a soft person with withered corners, like a clay mold.
A slurred pronunciation – a slurred speech as if an intoxicated hobo on the streets of urban Seattle.
The thing fits like earmuffs, but with earmuffs it’s hard to hear.
What about a prettier name, like Emiko? Nice, unusual name,
and catches the tongue so it takes effort to say.
Alas, the history behind Molly is unbelievable.
The humans interacted with, the bits of colour dabbed to paper that tells tales of my childhood.
Forever with the signature of Molly.
Slurred time, slurred ideas, slurred name, slurred art, slurred slurred slurred slurred slurred.
The word loses meaning if said too many times.
Does this mean we lose meaning? Is this why we need ‘alone time’?
Being with people for too long makes you feel like you are losing your significance.
Being alone too long feels like you are losing your significance.
But Molly wouldn’t think that. Molly is always positive and on your side.
Molly is soft and hates competition, so I can’t lose to Molly.
The clear water from the glass starts turning black spontaneously,
as if you took ink and dropper to it.
The chemical atoms spreading throughout the H2O at various speeds,
looking like a time lapsed cloud from the Nature channels in that box.
This is my life.
Even if stained black, Molly will drink the water and fill it up again and again and again
So to never die of thirst
Molly is slurred enough to not worry about her. Molly will do it, whatever it takes.
Molly shall Molly is Molly was Molly will
Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly Molly
It starts to lose meaning.
