Hi, this is Ed Reyes with Master Builders from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village,
this is how you use and maintain a miter saw. Now we are going to talk a little bit about
maintenance on the motor. When you are cutting with this saw, it produces quite a bit of
dust so you are going to get dust in this motor, in these bushings through this top
area. Every once in a while, usually once a month, I will come in and remove these bushings
front and back and install oil, 3in1 oil in there. Very simple to do; a few squirts will
work. You don't want to overall it but you want to have enough oil in there where it
is going to keep the rubber bushings from drying up. Remember there is dust that gets
in there so it is good to get some kind of a blower and blow all this out before you
do that. It is not a good idea to put oil in there when you have a lot of dust. So I
recommend that you come in first with a blower into this area here and move all the dust
out there that you can. We normally take these bushings out and blow that out too. Before
we go back and install this, we install the oil and screw back the bushings and that will
give you a long life on your motor.
