MSJC has truly a well outfitted digital imaging studio and a very well thought out teaching studio. Attached to that a lightroom for digital processing.
A studio that allows them to study portraiture as well as commercial product and still life photography.
So they really have at their fingertips great tools. Very powerful, current technology.
They learn absolute fundamentals. Exposure essentials, photographic principles, essentials of image editing into software, how computers see
photography. They learn image production based on composition and they get into at times some intermediate level skills.
They are exposed first to digital asset management tools like Adobe Lightroom, Apple Aperture, Caperture 1, those types of softwares
that organize thousands of photos. Then they get fundamental training in studio lighting and the controlled environment of the studio.
They get to exercise all those skills to an advanced level. They're taught advanced lighting techniques, advanced editing techniques,
they avail themselves of peer competitions and have quality time in the studio.
Most of our students break into the industry through an entrepreneurialship plan. They
gain enough experience and skill sets to go out on their own.
We've amassed world class resolution and truly professional lighting equipment for students to avail themselves of.
Now and the future.
