We did all the work for you.
Never again do you have to eat flat, dry pancakes.
We've created the best recipe for fluffy, mouthwatering
homemade pancakes and the best part is, it's so
easy.
Start by sifting out all of your dry ingredients.
This includes the flour, sugar, Victoria Gourmet bacon glaze seasoning, baking powder, and
salt.
The bacon glaze adds a unique depth of maple flavor.
Because this seasoning has some course honey granules, don't worry about using
the sieve, just toss it all in.
In a separate bowl, combine the sour cream, milk, eggs, vanilla, and some freshly grated
lemon zest and whisk them all up until they're combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, making sure not to over-whisk
them.
The consistency should be thin enough that it
can be poured, but not so thin that it runs across your whole skillet.
The secret to perfect pancakes, it's actually the butter.
Melt about a tablespoon on medium- low heat on your griddle (our griddle makes
it easier to make up a lot of pancakes at once, but a
large frying pan will also work just fine).
When the butter begins to bubble, you can start to pour
the batter.
We've transferred our batter to a liquid measuring cup because it makes pouring the
perfectly sized pancake so much easier.
Each side should cook for about 2-3 minutes or until
they're golden brown.
Try flipping them with a fish spatula if you have one because they're razor
thin and glide right under the pancake.
Continue doing this until you've used all your batter.
If these pancakes on their own aren't enough, impress your friends and family by caramelizing
some bananas to add to the side.
Just sprinkle some sugar over slices of banana and torch
them until they turn golden.
You can find torches as cheap as $12 on amazon, but if you're not
looking to be a culinary master, warming it in your frying pan will be just as effective.
When all the batter is gone, you should get about 12 pancakes, which in our opinion is
only enough for you, so tell everyone else they're
going to have to go out and get their own Victoria
Gourmet bacon glaze.
