The first people think of when they think of Frisbees is just the regular throw like
I showed you before, the backhand, but it's not true. There's a bunch of different kinds
of throws. One of my favorite throws is the forearm and/or the flick. To throw the flick,
you're going to setup your hands like this, sort of a V pattern around the outer edge
of the disc with my thumb on top like that with a nice grip on it. When you throw the
flick, it's important to kind of bend down your knees a little bit. It's a little bit
more of an athletic throw. You don't have to wind back quite as much. It's called a
flick just like it sounds. It's just like. Sometimes it helps if you make that little
sound when you throw it too. A little bit of sound, memory, visualization technique.
You got a nice grip on the disc. I'm going to step forward, I'm going to bring back to
about here, and then I follow through. You know you've thrown it really well when you
get that snap off the end of the disc. When you get that snap, because that means it's
spinning really fast. It's going to really far and it's going to be a nice throw. Another
advantage of the flick is that as you throw your back hand, it's going to go left, but
a flick when you throw it, it's going to go right. If you have some obstacle in front
of you and you want to get around a tree, the flick can be really helpful. If you only
have the one throw in your basket or your bag of tricks of Frisbee golf, it's nice to
diversify your portfolio a little bit in disc golf so you can have different throws and
get around different obstacles. You got a good grip on it. I'm looking at the cage.
Step back, throw. Pretty good. Yeah, we're definably in range such as the throws you
can have and we're going to show you some more now.
