So now that you have sort of moved into what type of image you'd like to create, again
we have this piece here that we have burnished the back with an ebony pencil. I'm going to
just go ahead and give a little trace around the edges so that you can see how the image
actually transfers onto the board itself. So basically I am just retracing the same
lines that I traced from the image itself so that I'm establishing the actual line work
down onto the board, and you'll see how it actually transfers just from using the ebony
pencil. So that's why it's more efficient to use that pencil. You can use just a regular
graphite pencil, but in that process it doesn't tend to transfer as dark or as clear as the
ebony pencil does. That's what I tend to find, so that's why I use the ebony pencil. So,
again you can see how as you continue to go along you can create the drawing yourself
that way, or, just freehand working onto the board itself if you're more artistically inclined
to create your composition yourself. It's just as easy to draw out onto an illustration
board, and the great thing about using white illustration board is that you can actually
see the graphite and you can erase when you need to.
