Hi! My name is Karo & I'm a fairy coach. I help people rewrite their life's fairytales.
sounds like I should be attending a conference about fairytales, right?
don't press the STOP button yet. Please, let me explain...
In my dissertation I coined the term
spellbinding experiences
to refer to experiences that
cast a spell on you
to such a degree
that you'll overcome any
obstacles in order
to accomplish your task
& follow your passion
In my thoroughly research
historical novel
I describe the lives
of Roman & Julian, 2 gay men
living in post war, Communist Poland.
By describing their lives I tackle 2 taboos:
gay relationships & the censorship of arts
in the communist Poland.
I also describe how finding beauty
in the grayest of settings has helped
my heroes survive & even thrive
under the communist regime.
So when I help others rewrite their fairytales
I combine the knowledge
from both books
that I published.
I ask people to search for their spellbinding experiences
that have motivated them so far to accomplish & fulfill their dreams
I also coach them about the importance of facing taboos that the society has imposed on them. I also teach them about a healthy lifestyle as well as way of finding beauty around us.
Once we know what spellbinding experiences move us forward, how to find strength to tackle any taboos,
& where to find daily beauty that will sustain our joy of life, we're ready to rewrite our own fairytale. My own fairytale, in under a minute: I was born with cataracts on my lenses, so I'm considered to be partially sighted.
I love colors, I designed an app with super healthy recipes,
I traveled the world & taught in many countries,
I wrote my dissertation & my novel. In a nutshell, I have accomplished my dreams. And I'd like to help others
fulfill their dreams regardless of
their particular circumstances or
difficulties that they may have faced.
But, in order to do this, I need your help. Please, let me include my own presentation
at SXSW
2014
In my own fairytale for that year. Thank you!
