The question for today comes from Tina in Wisconsin. Tina wants to lose 40 pounds. She
has tried other diets and has lost weight but the weight always comes back. Okay Tina,
thanks for the question. First of all, check with your doctor before you make any major
lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise. You'll want to check with your doctor to make
sure you are in a healthy condition (enough for some of these ideas). For my opinion,
some of the things that work for me, I gave up the 10 bad foods. You can find a list of
these bad foods at docsrecipe.com No fried foods, oil in a bottle, salad dressing in
a bottle. Some other things that I add to that list based on Dr. Marshall's (PhD) advice:
no beans, no chicken. Roasted meats are fine. Poached eggs are great. You can have eggs
in smoothies. The doctors usually recommend 6 to 8 eggs per day, minimum. Some other foods
that you might want to avoid would be soy, carbonated beverages, sugar, fruit juices
(in a bottle). Why don't you start with that and make sure to get 50 oz. of water per day
per 100 lbs. of body weight. 1-2 teaspoons of pink or gray Celtic sea salt per day. Get
out in the sunshine and do some light exercise, 30 minutes per day is good, more would be
fine. Give us an update in a few weeks and we'll go from there. Good luck, Tina!
