Opening title: RMHC. MIA'S STORY.
This video features Mia Sollars,
an active young girl with blonde hair and glasses.
Mia's mother, a woman with long dark hair,
sits on a couch in a sunlit room at a Ronald McDonald House
with Mia's grandmother.
Now, Mia's mom:
Mom: When Mia was about five months old,
we had discovered that she had survived a stroke in utero,
that she had cerebral palsy because of the stroke.
I envisioned the worst.
It's very difficult to see your child hurting
because of their child, but, I'm an optimist.
Mom: When the Ronald McDonald House called
to let us know that we would have a place to stay,
our prayers had been answered.
Mia hugs her mom.
We were greeted by people who love on my kids.
We know that we're in a place
that's committed to making people's lives better.
Mia plays with a foam football, gleefully running around
the grounds outside a Ronald McDonald House.
Now, Mia's grandmother:
Grandma: They provide for the entire family.
It's not just the child that is there for treatment.
The Ronald McDonald house has shown us
that our family is not just blood.
Family are people who support you and love you
and help you along your journey.
