Who is Vicky Pattison? Former I’m A Celebrity winner and Geordie Shore cast member engaged to John Noble
VICKY Pattison is a well-known reality TV star, whose life has played out on TV thanks to her stints on Geordie Shore and Im a Celebrity.
So it was no surprise when the popular presenter revealed the news of her engagement to boyfriend John Noble on social media and shared the happy moment with her fans.
Here is the full lowdown on her.
1. What did Vicky Pattison do on Im A Celeb?
Vicky swapped her Geordie backdrop for the Australian jungle when she jetted off for the fifteenth series of Im a Celebrity.
Get Me Out of Here in 2015 and ended up being crowned Queen of the Jungle.
In 2016 it was announced that Vicky was to be one of the presenters on the game show’s popular spin-off I’m A Celeb Extra Camp, along with Chris Ramsey, Joe Swash and Stacy Solomon.
Replacing Strictly Come Dancing contestant Laura Whitmore, the foursome brought all the backstage insight direct from the jungle - but Vicky failed to impress viewers and was quickly fired from the spin-off.
It was later announced that Ramsey too would not be returning to the show.
2. How did Vicky Pattison get famous and what was her role on Geordie Shore?
Before the Geordie Shore house opened its doors to eight unsuspecting party animals in 2011, no one knew who Vicky was.
She rocketed to fame with her signature straight talking on the show which also starred Gary Beadle, Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan.
Vicky left the show in 2014 and took part in two seasons of explicit dating show Ex on the Beach which constantly hits the headlines for its contestants outrageous behaviour.
After surviving the show with her dignity still intact, Vicky left the wild antics of the beach – and the tablet of terror – taking on the challenge of her own show Judge Geordie.
The opinionated brunette offered her own brand of judgements over feuds between families and friends.
3. When did Vicky Pattison get engaged?
Vicky revealed her boyfriend John Noble had proposed on Instagram shortly after their cover with OK! Magazine was published.
Sharing the front page, which showed her flashing her stunning 3.6-carat marquise-cut diamond ring, she captioned it: I SAID YES.
@johnnoblejn I love you with all my heart and cant wait to be your wife #happilyeverafter all details in this weeks @ok_mag!!!!.
In the accompanying interview, Vicky revealed John had got down on one knee while they enjoyed a country walk near Newcastle.
She said: One morning he suggested we take his dog Roxie out for a walk.
“After a while we stopped for a sit down on a bench overlooking some lovely scenery.
I was playing with Roxie when she shook her head and got slobber all over my face.
When I wiped it away, John was in front of me on one knee.
“I couldn’t believe it, I burst into tears.
I said yes and then I looked at the ring and I was blown away, it was amazing.”.
4. When is she getting married?
Vickys grandparents accidentally let slip she will tie the knot on their 65th anniversary next summer.
The Suns Bizarre column revealed she will stay true to her roots by getting married at the plush Le Petit Chateau venue in the North East near her home in Newcastle.
The posh setting will set her fiancé John Noble back a tidy sum of £175,000.
A source said: “Le Petit Chateau is one of the nicest venues in the North East and Vicky has set her heart on getting married around there to be close to her and John’s family.
“They looked around the place last week and were very cute and tactile, pointing out where they’d put things and seeing how much it would cost to hire out the whole place.
“They were blown away and put down a deposit immediately – John’s not short of a few bob either, they want the best.
5. When was Vicky linked to Blind Date?
In 2017, legendary dating show Blind Date was revived on Five - and Vicky Pattison was rumoured to be involved in the revival.
However, Vicky failed to impress producers and she was sacked from the project - paving the way for Paul OGrady and Melanie Sykes to bring back the show (with Paul winning over fans with his natural charm).
The late Cilla Black presented the retro Blind Date for 18 years, before sensationally quitting live on air in 2003 after ratings of the show, which ran for 373 episodes, fell to less than 3 million viewers.
The legendary British presenter passed away in August 2015, having suffered a stroke following a fall in her Spanish villa.
The Suns Bizarre Column exclusively revealed that Paul OGrady has been lined up as the new host of Blind Date.
Paul was a natural choice for Channel 5, being late Cillas best friend.
He was so close to the late Scouser he delivered the eulogy at her funeral.
6. What else has Vicky Pattison done?
She has also been a regular panellist on Loose Women and made guest appearances on This Morning, Celebrity Dinner Date, Celebrity Juice and Virtually Famous.
In 2015 Vicky swung into the jungle as part of the fifteenth series, a late arrival on day three with Ferne McCann and Spencer Matthews.
And the star is also appearing in Channel 4s relaunch of The Crystal Maze, which is being hosted by new Maze Master Richard Ayoade.
Vicky will appear alongside Ore Oduba, Alex Brooker, Lydia Bright and Louie Spence.
Vicky went on to win the series and was crown queen of the jungle, beating runner-up George Shelley.
She then learned to drive at the All Star Driving School alongside some other famous faces.
