Today we will prepare pizza on tawa and not using oven.
Let's see what ingredients are required to prepare pizza
All purpose flour - 2 cup
Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Instant yeast - 1 tsp
These are required to make the dough
For topping we require
Capsicum - 1
Baby corn - 2-3
Pizza sauce - 1/2 cup
Cheese - 1/2 cup (grated)
Italian mix herbs
We have taken instant yeast we will mix it directly into corn flour.
If we are using dry yeast, mix it with sugar in lukewarm water and keep it for 5 minutes. Let it become active then mix it in the flour.
Instant yeast is more powerful, add it directly and knead the flour.
We will prepare dough for pizza. Take flour in a bowl, make a hole inside the flour, 1 tsp add yeast , 1 tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp salt.
Also add 2 tbsp oil in it. Mix them nicely.
Take lukewarm water to prepare the dough.
Add little water at one time and prepare a soft batter like that of a chapatti.
Knead the dough until it becomes soft. It takes 5-7 minutes to knead the dough.
Dough is ready, grease it with some oil.
Cover the dough and keep it for 1 hour to ferment.
Now we will prepare pizza out of this dough.
Cut the vegetables for the toppings. Cut capsicum, remove the seeds and slice it thinly.
Cut baby corn in 1/2 cm small round pieces. For topping we can use whatever vegetable's we desire (mushroom, olives, onion etc)
To prepare pizza take half amount of dough or whatever size we want for the pizza.
We are making medium size pizza.
Roll the dough properly; sprinkle some dry corn flour on the pizza.
Roll the pizza and keep it at least 1/2 cm thick.
Now preheat a pan. We can also use tawa to make the pizza but pan
would be more preferable as it will preserve more amount of heat.
Pan is heated; now place the pizza in the pan.
Use a non stick pan only, if you are not using the non stick pan, and then grease the pan with some oil or butter.
Cover the pan and cook the pizza for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
Cook the vegetables used for toppings.
Just make the vegetables little soft by cooking it for 2 minutes on medium flame as we are making pizza in pan.
After 2 minutes check the pizza is cooked or not, turn over the pizza and cook it from other side as well.
Now we will place topping on the pizza.
Put the flame to minimum.
To put topping, firstly spread pizza sauce evenly on the pizza, leave the borders so that the sauce does not fall off the base.
Vegetables are cooked, put off the gas
Now, layer the vegetables on the pizza and sprinkle some cheese on it.
Cover the pizza and cook for another two minutes on minimum flame.
It took 6 minutes to cook the pizza.
Put off the gas, let it cool down little and then take it out in a plate.
Garnish the pizza with seasoning and cut the pizza.
Pizza is ready.
