So when I do all these movements, it probably looks really easy. But when you try them at
home, it might be really hard at first. But don't worry. And don't be discouraged. When
I first started, I couldn't hardly do any of these things for weeks. It took me a long
time. So keep practicing diligently. And practice whenever you can. Carry your poi in your bag
with you. And when you have a few minutes in between clients or while you're waiting
for the bus, you can whip them out and start practicing. Even a little bit of practice
every day can really add up. Even if you're only able to do five or ten minutes a day.
Its very helpful to have a mirror. And its also helpful to have a sense of humor. If
you hit yourself, don't worry about. Its very unlikely that you would actually hurt yourself
if you hit yourself. And you will hit yourself when you're first trying. Especially when
you're going backwards, it increases the chances that the poi could whop you in the head. But
just keep going. And keep practicing. And before you know it you'll be making great
strides in poi spinning.
