I can’t seem to get pregnant on these fertility drugs. Could I ovulate late on Clomid?
Most women ovulate between days 14 and 20 on Clomid.
I don’t know if I am or not.
Get an ovulation test and track when you are ovulating so you know when your body is going.
Maybe you were naturally ovulating later in the cycle than average, but you just didn’t
know it until you were tracking the ovulation.
It really wasn’t going anywhere before hand.
If you haven’t been ovulating, Clomid could cause you to ovulate late because it finally
pushed your body to do what it hasn’t been doing.
Could it be the drugs? Or could I be using them wrong?
If you start your Clomid late in your cycle, you’d ovulate later than normal.
I’ve been using the drugs, but we recently increased the dosage.
If you increased the dosage, the higher dosage could push an ovulation, if the dose is later
than your normal date.
My period has always been an endpoint. It’s erratic, and that’s the point. Or problem.
Some women just have naturally long ovulation cycles of 30 or 35 or even 40 days. What is
late to others could be normal for you.
That would mean tracking it, and assuming that my eggs aren’t overdone or over easy.
Very funny. At least they aren’t scrambled.
That’s my husband’s job.
If you were using Depo Provera and other injectable contraceptives before, it could take months
to get fertility cycles going. You may ovulate late with Clomid because those compounds are
still suppressing the ovulation cycle.
No, I was on the pill before this.
Have the doctor monitor your ovaries with ultrasound next cycle to see if you are ovulating
and when. Then you’ll know when to have sex.
Or we could just do it every night to make sure.
That would make your husband happy.
