Hello I’m Corey Turner here on ExpertVillage.com and today we’re talking about low budget
moving making. So they come in to read for you, on our first movie we had nine people
sitting behind the table. That means if you were an actor and you came in and you sat
down on that long chair that means you were staring at nine faces. That’s because I
have me as the director, I had my assistant director watching them and then I had my special
effects people, costume people, and what everybody was going to be doing I wanted opinions from
everybody. It was important to me to make sure that I had the best product. Set up a
video camera to record these people, later you’re going to go back and you’re going
to try to remember what performances you got from each person. If you have it on video
camera you recorded it, you can pop it in and watch it and you’ll learn ten times
more about that person watching it later than you did when they were there live. Now yes
we want to learn about that person, can we work with that person? But for you it’s
not a social outing, it’s not meant for you to sit there and visit, this is true work
so you want to make sure that you find out if this person can act.
