js. My name is Jack

Today we are going to talk about nesting plus
and. Incase you couldn't tell by the title, today we are going to be
talking about nesting and
and. Literally it's right there in the title.
How did you not know that? [Music]
[Music] Nesting is just a little nerdy term
that means embedding one object to another. So let's take
a quick look. In this css case we have a paragraph tag
and we want to apply some declaration.
And then we have an anchor tag within a paragraph tag that
we also want to apply some declaration. But we have to do
this. You know? [No] Add a p and an a [inappropriate]
just indent the syntax and add an a. Well that's where
less comes in. You can do just that in less [AMAZING!!]
Yeh look at that, it's awesome. You can also
add media queries via this nesting too.
Look at that! It's way easier that doing it with just plain CSS
[Music]
[Music] The and is used to
concatenate selectors, or more commonly, it's used
to add pseudo-classes and pseudo-elements to your less.
Let's take a look. In CSS we have this. An anchor
tag and the anchor tag hover. How are we
supposed to do that with nesting? Easy, you just use the
and. That's it for this very short.
LESS tutorial. Tune in next time when we're talking about Math [yay!!!]
Everybodys favorite subject. Now go out and write
