Hi, this is Carrie with Natural Gumption. We had another question come in on our Facebook
page. If you haven’t jumped over there, make sure you “Like” us at Facebook.com/NaturalGumption.
And the email question that came in today was from a reader who just wanted to know
if there was any way to whiten your teeth without bleaching them. They just found that
bleaching was just not really getting it, they’d used the Crest Whitestrips and they
also had a whitening toothpaste that they were using and it would just feel like it
wasn’t working. One thing that I found when I clean teeth
is that most people develop stain in areas that aren’t in the brushing surface, it’s
actually more of the in between surface that you’re seeing the stain and then where you
get some plaque accumulation so that when you’re looking at your mouth, what you’re
getting is instead of the light reflecting and seeing the shininess, you’re actually
getting a dull area. And that’s an area that you’re building up plaque. That plaque
starts to build up the foods and drinks that have staining properties and that’s what
becomes discolored. So a lot of the stain on our teeth is actually
just the plaque and the reason that we get that plaque is because the toothbrush that
we use doesn’t necessarily get into those areas. So there’s a great way to use a tool
that’s called a Sulcabrush and I’m going to show you how to use it. And in a few more
videos, one day I’ll actually do one that is a person that has stained teeth and we’ll
do a video sequence to kind of show you how you un-stain them.
But for now, just know that you can find a Sulcabrush on naturalgumption.com, it’s
a little teeny tiny brush and all you do with it is you just trace the gum line and then
get in between the teeth. Trace the gum line and get in between the teeth and by doing
that, not only are you getting oxygen to your tooth but you’re removing all that plaque
and all that stain that’s starting to build up. So you just do that all around your mouth,
get those little stains and grooves, you’ll be amazed at what you can do.
And if you really want to get adventurous, you can take a little bit of the Ice Chips
tooth powder and although it looks weird and funky because it’s a powder and it’s not
a paste, it is a natural tooth brightener. It is a little powder, yes it’s black in
color, I know it. but it’s Himalayan salt, xylitol, herbs and essential oils and baking
soda and you can just use it to really de-stain those areas. I use this tooth powder three
or four days a week and what it does is it gets into all those areas and really helps
to de-stain.
Now a little bit about me, I’m a dental hygienist and I’m a dental hygienist who
doesn’t floss but what I do-do is I use great tools like this so that my teeth stay
healthy and beautiful all the time. So I hope that helps you. Again, the Sulcabrush
to be used on the inside and the outside. I know you can’t really see it, we do have
a course that’s called 21 Days to a Healthy Mouth that gives you up close videos and tutorials
that actually teaches you how to use great products like this. But for now, make sure
you check out a Sulcabrush and I think you’ll be surprised how easy it is to use, how many
different versatile places you can use it. Below the video, there will be some links
to some blog posts that give you a little more information about a Sulcabrush and about
tooth powder and I hope that works for you. I hope that helps and I hope you have nice,
beautiful, white teeth without having to bleach them and cause sensitivity and perhaps burn
your gums. Hope that’s helpful, thanks for stopping by and we’ll talk to you soon.
