In this episode, I'm going to show you an advanced technique that combines both the
acupuncture and the cupping together, with one on top of the other. So, just as we did
the acupuncture before for the back pain, we're going to swab the point to make sure
that it's sterile. I've already located the point for him. We're going to use one of our
single use filiform needles.
And then we've got our cupping. We want to get that ready. And for this, I often times
use a little bit larger cup. It's a little bit easier for me and makes sure that we don't
have any risk involved.
So in this case, you may be able to see it on the camera, but we've got the cup and inside,
we actually have the acupuncture needle and it causes the acupuncture needle to actually
vibrate ever so slightly inside the cup, and increases the effectiveness and moves both
the chi in the blood as well as tonifies the point. So, we can leave this cup on here for
about ten minutes, in order to get a very strong sensation, and often times it'll leave
a good bruise on there. So, you always have to make sure that the patient's okay with
that before we do it.
