Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I want to let you know that I LOVE reading your comments,
specially when you let me know about your successes and your improvements through the tutorials.
Thank you so much!
We will draw the face of a girl sending a kiss, in preparation to Valentine’s day.
We mark the place for the bottom of the cheek, to then sketch the general shape of the face.
We place the eyebrow, the eye, nose and mouth.
She is going to be winking with the left eye and that is why we only concentrate on the
right eye for now.
We start giving some form and tone to the mouth, following its shape.
We do the black pupil with a small reflection and then the eyebrows [I meant eyelashes!]
As the face is slightly tilted, the center of the chin should be a little bit more on
the left. I think I messed it up a little bit!
That is why I have good erasers.
As you can see I’m barely marking the nose.
At this point we start shading.
An option for toning is using the graphite powder.
We get our brush dirty, I like this, and then with it, carefully, we can do some shadows.
The list of materials is in the information below the video.
With the kneaded eraser we can pull some lights.
Let’s give some more shape to the mouth.
Remember that the upper lip is made up of 3 muscles and therefore it bulges in the center.
While the lower lip is made up of 2 muscles divided in the middle.
All of this is hardly seen, of course.
The eye should be a little bit longer.
The white part of the eye of course is never totally white.
The hair looks like spaghetti, I am going to soften it with a brush and then give it
some lights with the eraser.
Ok, I would love to know what do you think.
