Morning Meditations for Youth
June 13
Will do you good
For those who are afflicted, all the days are evil;
for those who are happy, are a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15.
How do you think Ellen White?
Can you imagine it as a Person serious, long face, unable to make a joke to another?
I had that picture until I read the book Walking with Ellen White.
His human side of George R. Knight.
One of the stories you'll find this book's protagonists a young newlywed couple.
Anyway, the wedding, which was officiated by James White
ended very late and could not leave the young couple on their journey that night honeymoon.
It was so I had to sleep in the family home where the ceremony was held.
The room where they were sleeping was located right next to where they were staying James and Ellen White.
When bedtime came, Mrs. White went to his bedroom.
On the way to his room he noticed that the young man, named Daniel,
dared not enter the room where his wife.
Visibly nervous, paced back and forth.
Mrs. White instantly realized what was happening.
He decided to give "a hand" the frightened girl.
-Daniel said Mrs. White, in that room is a young woman paralyzed with terror.
So come now and treat her with affection. I assure you that will make you much good.
And almost retired to his room, when Mrs. White said:
- And you also do much good!
When Daniel came into the room, found the girl wearing winter underwear
And with his face against the wall!
This delightful story, and shows the human side of Ellen White,
reminds us that Christian life is not incompatible with good humor.
God expects our hearts overflow with joy.
Do not we have good reason to be joyful always?
Christ lives, reigns and comes for us!
And this story also serves to teach an important lesson when you get married:
Even if you feel anxious or nervous the first night
think your partner is too.
So, enters the room and Give him all your love and tenderness to that person.
It'll be good to her, and you too! So, enters the room and Give him all your love and tenderness to that person.
It'll be good to her, and you too!
Let your prayer for this day:
Gracious, that your joy flooded my heart today and always.
