Hi, this is Jon, and in this video clip we'll be attaching the sides. First thing I'm going
to do is, I put one piece in the vice, and I'm just going to set another piece right
on top. I'm going to come in and drill just a small pilot hole, where my screws are going
to go.
Next I'm just going to line my pieces back up and put a screw in. Then I'm going to line
the upper portion of my piece and drill another pilot hole. And follow that with another screw. One variation that you can do, is to just
slightly countersink your hole, so that when you put your screw in, it ends up sitting flush with the surface.
Another variation is to countersink the hole a little bit deeper, so when you install your
screw, it completely hides it, and then you can come back and take some little wooden
buttons and cover up those screws, and it'll look real nice. Once the sides are assembled,
we're ready to install the bottom.
