Technological innovation will require us to rewrite the concept of school
and, therefore, reprogram our methodologies, practices and educational functions.
Presently, if we ask a group of students at first cycle or primary school, as I prefer to call it
to investigate about certain topic, they come to school with a very diverse amount of information
whether in terms contents or media formats, i.e., they bring videos, texts, and interactive simulations.
Therefore, technological innovation alters the relationship of the student with the school.
On the other hand, technological innovation by giving us the possibility of being not only consumers, but also information producers
will lead or drive the school to rethink it's role, particularly in the training of literacy for the new media.
No one at school is prepared, neither curricula, nor the teachers
to decode and prepare to help students decode current information.
