This here is the HP Pavilion Elite Tower.
Of course elite means better than everybody else.
And so, you would expect this to be a pretty good tower.
And it is. It's got a Core2Quad processor in it,
Q8200, 2.3 GHz processor on board,
8 GB of DDR2 memory.
You've got Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition preloaded,
so you're not going to have any problem using all 8 GB of memory on this thing.
750 GB SATA hard drive.
It does have a Dual-Layer DVD-RW drive. And, that does LightScribe,
which means that you're going to be able to burn labels directly onto those DVDs.
Wireless b, wireless g, wireless n, all built in,
with an integrated antenna as well so you don't have any unsightly antenna
sticking out from the back of this thing.
And, it also has NVIDIA Geforce graphics. It's got the 9500 GS card on board.
So you'll still ba able to play all your games,
some of you will handle all of your video editing, and all that stuff.
Comes with this keyboard.
Really a standard multimedia keyboard from HP but still a good one.
You've got quick-launch keys all along the left-hand side of it.
And then over on the right-hand side is where you're going to find
all of your media controls, as well as eject buttons for your optical drives,
and your volume control is located right up here.
On the front of the tower you're going to find that we have
some of your connector ports right here behind this front door.
You've got your headphones, microphones, couple USBs,
and FireWire located right here.
Over on the other side is actually the HP Media Drive bay,
which is going to be good for taking the HP external/internal drives
that go inside of these things.
Up here you've got the Pocket Media Drive bay,
which is very similar but in a smaller form factor.
And then your DVD-RW drive located right up here.
There is room for another optical drive if you decide you would like to add one.
Up here are all of your card readers. You've got CompactFlash,
you've got SD, memory stick, all of those small format
and the CompactFlash cards are readable by these card readers.
Around back, let me show you what we have going on,
there we go, there is your Geforce 9500 GS card right there,
which as you see does have HDMI, so it's perfect for hooking up
to a big screen television. And it also has VGA and DVI,
you're really really all set in terms of connactivity.
7.1 surround sound, you've got Ethernet,
four USB Ports, another FireWire Port around back,
Digital Audio In and Out, that's Coax digital audio,
and PS2 Ports for your keyboard and mouse.
On the inside, it's very easy to get into, just a thumb screw and you're in,
that's all it takes, in here you're going to find that all of the DIMM slots are taken.
It does have 8 GB of DDR2 RAM, which means those are going to be 2 GB each in there.
So, if you want to do some upgrading with the memory at any point,
which you probably wont need to do because it already has 8 GB in it,
you are going to have to replace some of those DIMMs.
Cfuse right there, your video card located right up here,
and, right up in here, where these little wires are heading,
that's your wireless card in there,
which is not taking up any of the slots in the PC
so it's not going to prevent you from expanding this computer.
So, there is the entire thing right there.
The HP Pavilion Elite.
A very very nice computer, plenty of room for expansion,
but you probably wont really need to because it comes out of the box
pretty much ready to go.
The HP Pavilion Elite M9510F.
