this tutorial is going to show how to add pom poms to ear flaps.
i am working on the baby okeefenokee cap.
it is a previous tutorial and i will post a link to the cap.
i will also post a link to the yarn pom poms.
you will thread your needle with one side and i'm going to find the center right here.
and i am going to yarn through like this.
and i am going to run my needle up through the center of the strands of yarn.
you can adjust them later if they do get uneven.
now i am going to separate the yarn and go back over a little further
then down to the back side, like that.
you can separate the strands when you pull it down
and then you won't have a big hole right there.
i'm going to run it back through down here at the base.
i'm going to put it back through up the yarn ball.
i'm threading my other strand of yarn.
i am going to sew through the base, which is on the ear flap right there.
and i'm going to go up through the yarn ball.
and then go back down through a different direction.
i'm going to go through the ear flap down here at the base
once you have sewn through enough times - it doesn't have to be a whole lot
then you can tie a knot down here
a couple of times
and then run your strands of yarn back up through the yarn ball
now i am running the second strand up through the yarn ball
now i am going to cut off the strands even with the rest of the strands, like that.
you may need to fluff it out and arrange the ends again
or trim it a little bit.
that completes how to attach a yarn pom pom to the ear flap.
